General Terms and Conditions

1. Subject of the general terms and conditions

The subject of these General Terms and Conditions (GTC) is the provision of hotel rooms, restaurant or event rooms as well as the provision of all agreed services by the Hotel Chesa Rosatsch directly or by external partners used by it.

2. Provisions for hotel reservations

2.1 Credit card guarantee

The hotel is entitled to request a reasonable advance payment or credit card guarantee from the customer at the conclusion of the contract. The amount of the advance payment and the payment dates can be agreed in the contract in text form. The hotel can also issue interim invoices that are due for payment immediately.

2.2 Cancellation conditions

If a booking cannot be kept, the following cancellation conditions apply:

• A cancellation or a change of the reservation must reach us at least 10 days before the date of arrival. From 9 days before arrival, 100% of the booking value will be charged. Exceptions are specially listed cancellation conditions (e.g. over Christmas/New Year)
• 26.12.2025 – 03.01.2026: A cancellation must reach us at least 41 days before the date of arrival. From 40 days before arrival, 100% of the booking value will be charged.
• An early departure and/or late arrival is treated as a "No Show" and charged.
• Non-Refundable bookings can not be cancelled or changed free of charge. The total costs will be invoiced. 

The cancellation conditions for group reservations from 10 rooms depend on the group size and are regulated separately. If there are no separate cancellation conditions, the following apply:

• A cancellation of all rooms must reach us at least 21 days before the date of arrival.
• From 20 days before arrival, 50% of the booking value will be charged.
• From 13 days before arrival, 100% of the booking value will be charged.
• There is a grace period of 10%.
• Exceptions are specially listed cancellation conditions (e.g. over Christmas/New Year)

Please note that our cancellation conditions also apply in the event of a cancellation of your trip due to illness (including Covid illness, quarantine, etc.).

2.3. HOTEL'S RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The hotel is entitled to withdraw from an offer or an already concluded contract if:

a) the guest fails to fulfill their contractual obligations (e.g., does not make outstanding advance payments, does not provide a valid credit card, etc.),

b) unforeseeable events or force majeure make it impossible to fulfill the contract,

c) there is justified suspicion that the use of the services could impair the proper operation of the hotel, its security, or its reputation,

d) it is subsequently discovered that false or misleading information was provided at the time of booking,

e) official orders or legal regulations prevent the provision of the agreed service.

The hotel also reserves the right to withdraw from the contract if there is an obvious error in the price indication, an overbooking has occurred, or technical errors (e.g., booking system errors) prevent the agreed service from being provided. In such cases, the hotel will inform the guest immediately and refund any payments already made.

In the event of a withdrawal by the hotel, the guest has no claims for damages. Any payments already made will be refunded, provided that the withdrawal is not due to the guest’s fault.

We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance in any case.

3. Provisions for restaurant visits

3.1. Credit card guarantee

• The Hotel Chesa Rosatsch reserves the right to demand a credit card guarantee for the confirmation of table reservations.
• The deposit of the credit card as a guarantee is made via our reservation system ALENO. The details of the deposited card are not visible to the Hotel Chesa Rosatsch, so the card is protected from misuse at all times.
• If a reservation is not taken up (No Show) or cancelled later than 6 pm on the day of the planned visit, a No Show fee may apply.  
• The number of people indicated and confirmed at the time of reservation is decisive for the calculation of the No Show fee.
• If the reservation is taken up with fewer than the confirmed number of people, the above-mentioned No Show fee applies for the unoccupied places.
• The amounts due according to these provisions will be charged to the deposited credit card without consultation.

4. Provisions for banquets / events / occasions with F&B consumption

4.1. Number of guests

The status of the reported number of people three days before the event is binding and will be invoiced. The grace period is 5%.

4.2. Cancellation

the following costs will be invoiced:

• up to 4 weeks before the event: no charge
• up to 3 weeks before the event: 50% of the agreed services
• 1 to 2 weeks before the event: 80% of the agreed services
• 2 days before the event: 100% of the agreed services

4.3. Exclusivity

The following modalities apply for the execution of a closed society in our restaurants:

• Restorant Uondas: from an F&B turnover of CHF 10'000.- no room rent is charged, if this amount is not reached, we allow ourselves to charge the difference amount as room rent
• Heimatli: from an F&B turnover of CHF 3'500.- no room rent is charged, if this amount is not reached, we allow ourselves to charge the difference amount as room rent
• The Hühnerei: from an F&B turnover of CHF 3'500.- no room rent is charged, if this amount is not reached, we allow ourselves to charge the difference amount as room rent

4.4. Night surcharge

From 12 AM we charge a night surcharge of flat rate CHF 350 per started hour (contribution to expenses).

4.5. Advance payments

The Hotel Chesa Rosatsch reserves the right to a down payment of 50% of the agreed services or another individually agreed down payment. For reservations with billing address outside Switzerland or reservations from abroad, a down payment of 100% of the reserved service is required.

4.6. Service charge / corkage fee

If you wish, you may bring your own favorite wine. For self-brought drinks, the following service charge is charged per bottle:

• Wine: CHF 37.00 per 0.75 liter bottle
• Wine: CHF 70.00 per 1.5 liter bottle
• Champagne: CHF 48.00 per bottle 0.75 liter bottle
